Our walking tour starts in Piazza Maggiore, the heart of the city, and its "Fontana del Nettuno", one of Bologna's symbols. We'll discuss this beautiful fountain, dedicated to the sea god.

Close by is the PALAZZO DEL COMUNE (city hall) constructed in the XIIIth and XIVth centuries. Antidotes and stories dating from the time of its construction, brings this beautiful palazzo to life. Inside lies a grand staircase .

Next door is SALA BORSA. Inside beneath the glass floor, the guide will show you one of Bologna's archaeological sites once home to the Villanovian and Etruscans.

PALAZZO RE ENZO (King Enzo's Palace), reveals the legends of king Enzo, son of emperor Frederick II, who was kept prisoner here.

SAN PETRONIO church: Defined the latest monument of the Gotico in Europe, the facade remained unfinished , as many architectural details inside and outside… Why? During the visit the guide will tell you the history of that building, dream and pride of the citizens…
